In this blog, I’ll break down our most popular free offerings system-by-system across Roll20!

Dungeons & Dragons

Roll20 offers everything you need to play Dungeons & Dragons right now

Build D&D Characters, for free, in minutes! Our D&D Character Builder helps you design adventurers and level them up with ease.

D&D’s Free Rules can be referenced inside the Roll20 Tabletop and on the web, and are quickly available to both you and your players, so everyone can look up exactly what they need without disrupting game flow!

We provide over 300 monsters that you can drag into any D&D game you make on Roll20! Each one comes with unique art and their own pre-filled character sheet for quick and easy rolling.

In terms of free, ready-to-play adventures, Roll20 has multiple options for getting started with D&D.

Frozen Sick, from the minds behind Critical Role, is a mystery with a ticking clock as the villagers in an arctic realm succumb to a peculiar illness. It is perfect for those brand new to D&D as characters start play at Level 1. For more adventures in Exandria, check out Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount and Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn!

Explore an arctic realm in Frozen Sick

In Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage, players delve into one of D&D’s deepest and most dangerous dungeons. This adventure is a little more advanced, so only characters level 5 and above should venture here. And if you enjoy your time on the first level, you can always upgrade to the full adventure!

Call of Cthulhu

If mystery and horror of the cosmic variety are more your speed, Roll20 has ample support for the classic horror roleplaying game Call of Cthulhu

Create Your Investigator using our custom Call of Cthulhu Character Builder. Maybe you’re a 1920s Private Detective in classic Call of Cthulhu or a 1930s hard-boiled explorer in the two-fisted action version Pulp Cthulhu. Either way, you can make characters for free!

Not only can you access the Free Rules in the Roll20 Tabletop and on the web, they also come with 30 sanity-sucking monsters, 3 otherworldly spells, and weird science gadgets you can drag into any Call of Cthulhu game!

Alone Against the Flames is a solo adventure set up like a “pick your path” story that incorporates character creation as you go. Explore a town with a dark history and an even darker ending (potentially) waiting for you.

Pathfinder

Roll20 supports both editions of the diverse adventure fantasy roleplaying game Pathfinder!

Build Pathfinder Characters for either First or Second Edition. 11 of Pathfinder’s classes are available with several subclasses to choose from along with almost 200 feats!

The Free Rules for both First and Second Edition come with over 1,000 monsters and spells you can drag into the Roll20 Tabletop or browse on the web.

Thousands of monsters are available, for free, in any Pathfinder game you make on Roll20!

First Edition

We Be Goblins! sends the characters (all goblins) on an important mission to retrieve a hidden supply of dangerous fireworks. Pick one of four ready-to-play characters (with amazing names like Poog of Zarongel) so you can dive straight into the action!

Second Edition

A Fistful of Flowers has players take on the role of four ready-to-play leshys – immortal spirits of nature given a physical form. They leave the forest to seek out their missing companions and wind up crashing a noble’s garden party!

Cyberpunk RED

Roll20 is the go-to place to get into the tabletop roleplaying game of the Dark Future – Cyberpunk RED

Create Cyberpunk Characters from charismatic Rockerboys, lethal Solos, inventive Techs, lifesaving Medtechs, and hard-hitting Medias.

Cyberpunk RED’s Free Rules AKA Easy Mode include a dive into the history and geography of Night City and the greater Cyberpunk world alongside the rules for the game.

Getting Paid is a free introductory mission that follows a crew who’s just completed a job stealing from the South Night City Docks only to have the money stolen from them by a gang of dirty cops! 5 ready-to-play characters are all set for your first time in Night City.

Additionally, there are free cyberware options, weapons, and hardened mooks that you can add to any Cyberpunk RED game on Roll20!

And that’s not all – Roll20 has free content for the following systems, too.
