Your Barbarian has low Intelligence. They find a Headband of Intellect in a tomb, tie it Rambo style to their head, attune to it, and suddenly they’re rocking a 19 INT and passing checks about the quantum realities of the universe!

Except on the old D&D character sheet, none of that actually happened. You couldn’t attune to anything, and had to remember to manually change each of your stats every time. The new D&D sheet changes that completely! You now have:

A dedicated Attunement section where you can see every item you’ve attuned, as well as remaining open slots.

Attunement automation. That Headband of Intellect on your Barbarian bumps their Intelligence to 19. Your modifier updates, skills recalculate, the whole sheet adjusts. Toggle it off and they’re back to fumbling through Arcana checks.

You Can Change Everything. Most importantly for homebrewers and tinkerers, you can edit and adjust both an item’s bonuses and the attunement bonuses separately. Want the headband to give you 30 Intelligence and destroy your Charisma? Go for it! The sheet will update accordingly.

These kinds of features on the new D&D sheet are the difference between a character sheet that simply stores data and one that fully assists you.
