Last month we brought you the D&D Character Builder on mobile devices. This month the D&D Character Sheet is fully responsive on phones! Plus a handful of other quality-of-life improvements to fully customize your sessions.

📱D&D Sheet Now Works on Phones!

The complete D&D sheet and builder experience is now available on your phone! Build characters on the go, manage your sheet during sessions, and connect directly to any VTT game… your rolls and actions appear right in the chat. Head to  Roll20 Characters on your phone to try it right now!

VTT-only players benefit too, the sheet now scales down to incredibly small sizes in the VTT, giving you more map space. This is only the beginning. We’re taking all of your feedback to continue improving the experience for you. Let us know what you think wherever you follow us, or leave feedback directly in our forum thread

🎲🤖 Macros Improvements

NPC macros have been upgraded. Actions for your NPCs now support using the same templates as PCs, giving you a great experience across the board!

Also, 2014 → 2024 macro migration got easier. Transitioning your existing macros between sheets should work regularly without any major tweaks. More compatibility improvements are coming.

☑️☑️☑️ Add Resources to Actions

You can now add resources to your actions! For instance, let’s say you want to customize your Monk so Extra Strike is a limited resource that can be used only four times per long rest. Now you can add that and track each use. This is perfect for homebrew abilities and action economy tracking.

😴 In Case You Missed It: Modifier Builder for Conditions

This has been around for a bit, but a lot of folks don’t know that conditions can trigger changes to your sheet! For example, when your character is Incapacitated, you can automatically reduce your Carrying Capacity to 0… your sheet updates immediately!

You can also create your own custom conditions, and add modifiers to those!  Let’s create a condition called “Overcaffeinated!!!” (from that Grande Potion of Alertness your DM invented) that increases your speed by 10 feet, gives you bonuses on Dex and Initiative, but imposes penalties on Stealth checks because you’ve got the oooooh jitters!!! Your sheet will update automatically when the condition is activated, and be set back once you toggle the condition off.

⚔️ Up Next

Multiple Attacks Per Weapon
In the next week or two you’ll be able to go to your Equipment tab, edit a weapon, and see all the weapon’s attacks in one place, with the ability to edit each. For instance, editing a Dagger will let you edit all 4 potential attacks of that dagger, or remove any of them outright. We’ll soon be supporting adding new attacks to a weapon as well!

Performance Improvements
We already have a ton brewing under the hood, and we’re continuing to improve all aspects of sheet performance.

More Mobile Responsiveness
In addition to all of your mobile feedback, we’re redesigning the D&D character creation dashboard for tablets and phones!
