You may have heard that Roll20 recently acquired Demiplane. Since then, we’ve been hard at work planning enhancements to the Pathfinder Second Edition experience by combining Roll20’s powerful virtual tabletop with Demiplane’s top-tier character management and digital reading tools. Here’s a look at our roadmap and some exciting free updates!
Free Pathfinder Unlocks Between Roll20 and Demiplane!
If you’ve purchased any of the Pathfinder Second Edition Core titles on either Roll20 or Demiplane, you’ll soon receive an email allowing you to unlock the same title on the other platform for free! Whether you own Player Core, GM Core, Monster Core, or Player Core 2 on Roll20, you’ll now also own it on Demiplane—and vice-versa!
What’s Next for Pathfinder on Roll20 and Demiplane?
We’re focused on several exciting developments to seamlessly integrate Pathfinder Second Edition and Starfinder Second Edition across both platforms:
- Account Integration: Soon, you’ll be able to link your Demiplane and Roll20 accounts for a more unified experience.
- Full Title Sync: After account integration, any Pathfinder Second Edition title you own on Roll20 or Demiplane will automatically unlock on the other platform (so long as the title is available on the othe platform). This feature will extend beyond the initial four core titles.
- Character Sheet Integration: We’re working on a system to use Demiplane character sheets directly within Roll20’s VTT. An early feature might include rolling from your Demiplane character sheet and seeing the results in the Roll20 chat log—no browser extensions needed.
These updates are optional, designed to enhance your experience when using Roll20 and Demiplane together. Your current ways of using either platform remain unchanged.
And yes, we’re also planning to integrate NPC and monster sheets for GMs, but those details are under wraps for now!

What about Starfinder Second Edition?
Demiplane is the official playtest digital companion for the Starfinder Second Edition playtest. On the Roll20 platform, we did not build a native character sheet for Starfinder Second Edition knowing that we would be integrating the Demiplane character sheet for use on Roll20. New Starfinder Second Edition titles are fully featured digital titles on Demiplane and the adventure titles like A Cosmic Birthday are provided as Playsets on Roll20.
Does Roll20 integration of Demiplane mean that Demiplane will not support other VTTs and digital platforms?
The path to integrating Demiplane on Roll20 accelerates the work that also supports using your Demiplane character sheet wherever you choose to play. Technical bridges we build between Demiplane and Roll20 will also be opened up for community development to integrate Demiplane with other platforms.
