We sat down with The Crafty Dice to learn more this map pack and their creations on our Marketplace.

What was the inspiration for your Creation Forge map pack?

In an attempt to find my place in the map creator market, I got interested in Eberron as a setting I felt hadn’t been explored too much. It matched my style and vibe at that point. I’m quite sure Creaton Forge was my first map in the Eberron setting and I continued using Eberron as inspiration going forward. (It was also my first map created with Clip Studio Paint. I enjoyed the change of tool, but didn’t end up switching out Photoshop until a little bit later when I joined up with The Mad Cartographer.)

What is your favorite piece of Eberron lore?

The lore surrounding the warforged and their… Existential crisis intrigues me. It set’s the stage for a lot of interesting roleplaying and customization to your character, while not being too restrictive.

What types of Eberron story hooks do you imagine using the Creation Forge with?

Seeking out the source of a new type of warforged that has started appearing in the region, acting weird, manipulating the society in unwanted directions. You could affect the group into thinking it’s a BBEG-encounter, the plot twist being that instead of a BBEG, the long dormant creation forge has developed its own sentience and is now seeking to shape the future in its own ways, this has to be stopped!

What other marketplace items would you recommend to dungeon masters building a collection for the Eberron adventures?

To glue any Eberron adventure together, I have a couple of transportational items I’d like to recommend!I drew most of the carriages in the Terror Train by Mad Cartographer while I worked with them.

I also have to mention the Lightning Rail set by Czepeku. They also have some awesome airships and the occasional Eberron-themed map pack available as well.

Obviously I have to recommend Eberron: Rising from the Last War, which is a go-to for me and also available in the marketplace.

Thank you so much to the Crafty Dice The Creation Forge Map is a must-have for any Eberron campaign, providing the perfect setting for high-stakes battles, daring heists, or arcane experiments gone awry. Be sure to grab it before it’s gone by purchasing the Roll20 conversion of Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone on DMsGuild today. And stay tuned—next week, we’re bringing even more artificer-themed wonders your way!
