International GM’s Day is held on March 4 to celebrate the organizers, overseers, and storytellers of roleplaying campaigns across the world: Game Masters. Originally conceived in an EN World forum thread in 2002, the nearly two-decade old tradition is honored on the anniversary of the passing of Gary Gygax, designer and co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons. Despite that timing, the celebratory eponym mindfully centers around GMs (Game Masters) and not DMs (Dungeon Masters) since the celebration is open to fans and players of any system.

GM Day celebrations are as varied as they are widespread, guided by a universal spirit of gratitude toward the moderators who keep games fair, balanced, and most importantly: fun. It is a day of thank you notes, public admiration via social campaigns, and gift-giving: from rulebooks, to campaign supplements, to commissioned art, miniatures, or maps to be used in future campaigns – rewarding GMs for the time spent ensuring a wonderful adventure is common practice.

DriveThruRPG, DMsGuild, and Roll20 are celebrating GM’s Day with sales spanning thousands of PDFs and titles converted for the Tabletop, feature collections of content curated for gifting, and advice compiled from partners and indie publishers to inspire GMs for years to come.

Cover of Hunter: The Vigil Second Edition: a storytelling game of light and shadows.

Hunter: The Vigil Second Edition

Hunter: The Vigil Second Edition is a standalone game that can be played by new or existing players. The lore has been updated to not only reflect the uptick in monsters, but also the fact that hunting monsters is not exclusive to a location, group of people, or time period. There may be more monsters than ever before, but now there are
more ways to fight them, too.

In Hunter: The Vigil, anyone can be a hunter — provided you are committed to the hunt. It is a game of personal horror and sacrifice that tests relationships and encourages teamwork within a cell, compact, or conspiracy.

Wanderhome

Wanderhome is a pastoral fantasy role-playing game about traveling animal-folk, the world they inhabit, and the way the seasons change. It is a game filled with grassy fields, mossy shrines, herds of chubby bumblebees, opossums in sundresses, salamanders with suspenders, starry night skies, and the most beautiful sunsets you can imagine.

You might be a tamarin who dances with small and forgotten gods, a leporine mail carrier who relies on moths to get packages where they belong, a little lizard with a big heart and a mysterious past, or a near-endless number of other thrilling possibilities. No matter what, we’re always travelers—animal-folk who go from village to village and
get to see the length and breadth of all the world of Hæth. The seasons will change as we play, and we will change with them.

Court of Blades – Scandal, Forged in the Dark

Court of Blades takes place in the vibrant, fantasy renaissance city-state of Ilrien, in a world populated by scheming nobles, court magicians, and dashing duelists.

As a noble retainer, you will engage in the polite civil warfare of the great families. You will host lavish balls, and manipulate the courts, uncover the plots of your rivals, protect the city from arcane dangers, manage your own intrigues and personal scandals, leverage your reputations, connections, and so much more.

Inspired by infamous warring families like history’s Medicis and Pazzis, Shakespeare’s Montagues and Capulets, or Game of Thrones’ Starks and Lannisters, in Court of Blades you will take on the role of a talented retainer to a newly risen House of the Esultare in the
great city of Ilrien. The Esultare, composed of the six Houses Major, are considered to be the most powerful families in the Principalities. Amongst them they have their own pecking order, and every citizen of Ilrien is aware of every house’s position within that order.
