Our Character Builder Leads the Way…

Our character builder holds your hand through every option at character creation and during level up, presenting and explaining them. Plus it does heavy lifting for the math, so that in the end, you have an organized sheet with all the right stats – and you can roll all your checks right from it on the VTT. Wondering what the math was on a roll and where the modifiers came from? Just open the details menu in chat.

All the info is at your fingertips. This new ruleset updates all the stat blocks from the previous version of the rulebook, and adds 80+ completely new creatures!

Plus you can enjoy immersive token art for every creature in the book!

Run Roll20’s Exclusive Eberron Bonus Adventure

When you buy the D&D 2024 Core Rulebook Bundle on Roll20, you get a copy of Heart of Stone, the first official Roll20 D&D 2024 adventure from Keith Baker and Imogen Gingell. The adventure takes place in the fan favorite setting of Eberron and takes characters from level 1-5.

It is fully converted for Roll20’s tabletop with all of the monsters, dynamically lit maps, NPC stat blocks, handouts and more!

Loot For Your Loot Goblins

Drag and drop over 400 magic items for your adventures from the Dungeon Master’s Guide directly onto your character sheets, automatically updating your stats. Each item is also fully customizable so you can tailor these items for your table. Love the bonus a heavy piece of armor gives, but want to make it available for the wizard in your party? Make it cloth with the click of a button. Want make the Headband of Intellect the Headband of Wisdom for the ranger at your table who is frustrated by their lower spell save DC? Change it in seconds.

Read Rulebooks Outside of the Virtual Tabletop

With the 2024 Ruleset, Roll20 has enabled the ability to read browser based rulebooks outside of the VTT – making prep and adventure development easier for dungeon masters. You can now navigate books directly in your browser or search for particular sections. You can also filter all of your rulebook info for selecting spells, monsters, and items. Looking for a CR4 Celestial? Toggle those options and explore the results, making prep a breeze! Your next source of inspiration is right around the corner.

Summon Spells!

Look up spells and drag and drop them directly onto your character sheet – or an NPC sheet!, making spell selection effortless not only at level up but also at the end of a long rest – Clerics, Wizards, and Druids we see you!

Manage Conditions & Effects

From Rage, to Poison, and Weapon Mastery, our sheet not only tracks it all with the toggle of a button, but also automatically adjusts your related rolls. Poisoned? All modifiers will show a downward arrow to reflect the change and when you click one, it automatically rolls at disadvantage. Barbarians tired of tracking additional rage modifiers in your head? Toggle on the rage effect and watch your combat section get a yellow “glitter” icon to let you know an effect is actively governing those abilities. When you roll, it will automatically include those modifiers in the result.

Build Bastions

Bastions in D&D 2024 let players build and customize their own fortresses, turning stronghold management into a strategic adventure that evolves alongside the campaign. Roll20 offers a Bastion Character Sheet that allows players to drag and drop facilities from the rulebook onto them and continue to customize it as it grows alongside the party. You can even draw out your bastion in a map for the tabletop top using Dungeon Scrawl!

Add Super Natural Gifts!

Were you changed by a unicorn encounter or did you make a deal with a devil? Drag and drop supernatural gifts from the Dungeon Master’s Guide on to character sheets to give players access to new boons and banes! Each one automatically updates all related stats.

Customize Creatures

Drag and Drop any creature from the Monster Manual onto the table top and customize their sheet by managing their stats or dragging and dropping new weapons, spells, or magical items onto their sheet. Want to update the AC or HP of a particular creature? Do it right from their character sheet and keep every encounter exciting!

Retain Access to 2014 Options!

Our D&D 2024 character sheet is compatible with 2014 rules, so you can mix and match different versions of subclasses, spells, creatures, backgrounds, species, and items to your hearts delight. You can even view 2014 monsters in a 2024 sheet – giving you all the capability of the future with all the depth of options from the past.

We are so thrilled to welcome adventurers to this new ruleset and look forward to continuing to build the tools that help you tell your favorite stories!
