What was the inspiration for this token pack?
I love dragons, and with the new crystal dragons revealed in Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons, I just had to jump on the opportunity to draw them for use in D&D games!
What inspired you to start creating content on Roll20?
During the pandemic, my friend group would use Roll20 to play games twice a week, with Sunday being our huge 8 hour plus session days. I loved creating custom player tokens for members of my party, and I love drawing creatures, so it just seemed like a logical leap!
What is it about dragons that you find inspires adventures?
I’ve always loved dragons. My favorite movie as a child was Flight of Dragons and Dragonheart. I think they are just the embodiment of fantasy and adventure. Whether they are “good” or “evil”, it’s always exciting to run into one in a campaign.
If you could choose one type of dragon as a benefactor, which would you choose?
Copper dragons are my absolute favorite. I love how they tell riddles and play pranks.
What is your favorite piece of dragon lore from within the D&D multiverse?
The Dragonlance books growing up were my obsession, and I still love them to this day. Fizban being Paladine and interacting with Tasslehoff still gets me, when they see the mural of the great dragon wars.
Do you have a favorite moment to share involving a dragon from your own table?
In our year long campaign, my Dungeon Master was kind enough to grant my draconic bloodline sorcerer the ability to shapeshift into her “true dragon form.” Doing that for the first time was unforgettable.
What’s your favorite product you’ve created on the Roll20 Marketplace that’s not this one and why?
I think my standard dragon set and my kobold token set! The standard dragon set started it all and it was so fun to put my own spin on dragons that people use in their personal games! And kobolds are just so fun, I had a great time giving them all different personalities.
