Ready to Roll on the Road | David Hemenway

What was the inspiration for this map?
As a game master for 40+ years I know how important it is to be ready for those impromptu side treks a party can take, so I created some maps that can be dropped into any adventure when needed.
What inspired you to start creating content on Roll20?
I began making Roll20 products about 9 years ago after finding that my career as a graphic artist in the field of journalism was fizzling out. I wanted to combine my love of gaming and mapmaking with a career, so I started making products to help other DMs make their games look great.
If people like this contribution from you, what’s another product they might want to check out from your offerings?
If people like this set, then check out my follow up set Ready to Roll On The Road 2, Ready to Roll Adventurous Places, and my Terrain Tiles sets – like Winter Wilderness.
Roadside Battlemaps | Caseymobile

What was the inspiration for this map?
I love creating open-ended environments for people to navigate as players and make their own as Dungeon Masters. There’s a sort of delightful collaboration between the designer and player that I think is even rather intimate in this sort of art form, and it’s one that you don’t get with other mediums where it’s the author talking TO an audience.
How did you find your way to creating content to support D&D games?
I’ve been doing art and animation and world building since before discovering D&D and Eberron, but I quickly fell in love with it after I was introduced to the game.
If people like this contribution from you, what’s another product they might want to check out from your offerings?
I think the next thing after these battlemaps are probably modular Underdark caves that I really enjoyed making, but I wanted to get back to doing broad battlemaps like these. I am hoping to add some mountain peak ones and some underwater abyssal style ones as well!
Pre-order Eberron: Forge of the Artificer before July 6, 2025 and get these awesome Roll20 maps. In two weeks, come back to discover the next bonus as we march towards the release on August 19th!
