What was the inspiration for this map?
This Map Pack was a part of a series of map packs I made a while back that were all part of an artist challenge I made up for myself that I called “Daily Dungeons.” At the time I broke my maps into weekly themes, and this set of maps was probably the theme I was looking most forward to! I also paired this with a couple of other sets I released around the same time like my Airships set, and my Floating Islands set!
As for inspiration, there is a long list of literature, gaming, and film I absolutely adore in both the steampunk and magipunk genres. I mean, everything from some Doctor Who episodes (especially some of their old Christmas episodes) to Jules Vern literature, to a lot of RPG games like Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger that danced the lines between futuristic tech and fantasy. Even still to this day, newer shows like Arcane absolutely tickle my inner love for magipunk and push the envelope of how versatile this genre really is!
What inspired you to start creating content on Roll20?
Oh jeez, so this one is actually one that really hits deep with me, because Roll20 has changed my life, and I mean that quite literally! So I started DMing on Roll20 over a decade ago when I was just looking for a way to play D&D online, and sure enough, it was exactly what I needed. I found an amazing group around 13 or 14 years ago, and we’re still gaming together to this day, and I am proud to call each of them a close friend! When I started running games for them, we dove into worldbuilding and I began making maps for our sessions. My players were truly the ones who really pushed me to share those maps with others. After months of encouragement, I finally submitted them to the Marketplace. At first, my goal was just to cover my Roll20 sub, pay for Photoshop, and maybe afford some pizza, but it quickly turned into a full-time job.
And that shift came at the perfect time for me too, because not long after, my first kid was born. And not just me, but another player in my group also had his first kid literally a week before mine, and we went the same life experience together linked by our game on Roll20. At that point, creating content for Roll20 made it to where I could work from home and it blessed me with the flexibility to support my partner and take a massive load off of her and be there for those early years with my family. Now, 10 and a half years later, not only has Roll20 changed my life, but it’s also been a central part of my son’s life for as long as he can remember, and has already helped spark some major inspiration with him as an introductory to the world of D&D at a young age!
What do you find thrilling the Eberron setting?
Ok, so I love Eberron, and I love it so much because it is just so unapologetically weird! That blend of that pulp adventure, magitech, noir, and high fantasy just opens up a playground of possibilities into my games that you just don’t get from other settings in D&D! It’s always been one of my favorite settings to play in just because of how unique it feels, so creating content that works in Eberron is just a no brainer for me! It doesn’t hurt that it’s also one of my players favorite settings to explore as well!

So I know when I put this map pack out, I also released a set of steampunk assets, a modular tile set, and put out a set of airships and floating islands all around the same time! I even have the floating islands and airship sets in a dynamic bundle! I imagine these might be great for Eberron games. I also had a couple of dungeons that were steampunk inspired in the Tome of Dungeons book I put out, especially the level 20 adventure “Sanctum of Time”, where the players get to interact with Chronos, a Time Dragon and potentially become the next keepers of the timescape themselves!

What was the inspiration for this map pack?
This pack came out of our love for that gritty blend of magic and machinery you see in settings like Eberron. We really wanted it to feel alive—messy, maybe a little grungy and dirty, and definitely chaotic. Like the kind of place where real invention happens: tools everywhere, sparks flying, and half-finished experiments humming with unstable energy.
One of our favorite pieces in the set is the arcane-powered robot, which was actually inspired by Metal Gear Solid—a personal favorite. It’s got that military-tech vibe, reimagined through a magical lens. Dropping something like that into the mix helped ground all the wild fantasy in something that still feels mechanical and dangerous. It just fits.
What inspired you to start creating content on Roll20?
We’ve been using Roll20 ourselves, especially when we got started in 2019 publishing on Patreon. It just made sense to also offer our maps on a platform where people are actually playing. Roll20’s reach and accessibility have been huge in helping us share our work with the wider TTRPG community.
What do you find thrilling about the Eberron setting?
Eberron has this unique blend of arcane tech and grounded world building that makes it incredibly fun to design for. It rewards imagination and lets maps really shine as storytelling tools. That tension between invention and tradition gives us a lot of creative room to play in.

If they enjoy our Lab, we’ve got tons of maps in different themes and settings to explore. A great companion to this map might be our Belmond Streets pack. It’s very full of flavor and flexible enough to fit into a wide range of adventures. Honestly, we’ve got something for everyone, so just check out our page and see what inspires you!

What was the inspiration for this terrain token pack?
I really enjoy the classic ” Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” So a chance to blend some of the form languages of technology with those of fantasy was pretty exciting and gave me plenty of inspiration.
What inspired you to start creating content on Roll20?
I think like the vast majority of creators I’ve spoken with it was all about my own gaming groups needs and it just spiraled out from there. The chance to make things available for other groups so they can get some of the same enjoyment mine did was a really natural fit, and then just adding to my catalogue with requests and ideas for things people needed kept me inspired to just keep working at… for about a decade now apparently?
What do you find thrilling about the Eberron setting?
Anything as distinct as Eberron is a joy to create for. Settings with so much specificity about the world, the technology and magic, the regions, and the cultures present really call out to be made, and Eberron certainly does that. Its specific blend of magic as technology is definitely what gives it the flavor it has.
If people like this contribution from you, what’s another product they might want to check out from your offerings?
Though less purpose built for the setting, several of my steampunk sets would definitely be a reasonable fit. I’d look at Vile Tiles: Steam Works or Transportation Sensations: Steampunk Vehicles to see if anything catches your eye especially if you blend it in with something from Vile Tiles: Magic Tech Decor.
Pre-order Eberron: Forge of the Artificer before July 20, 2025 and get these awesome Roll20 maps. In two weeks, come back to discover the next bonus as we march towards the release on August 19th!
