Modular Railway Combo Bundle | Tom Cartos

What inspired you to create the Modular train maps?
I was designing a large Train Station map set based on the iconic Victorian style stations found in many cities in the UK. As often happens when I am making a map set I get carried away, and what started as a couple of pre-made trains to go with the station turned into this full set of modular cars and engines. I had recently purchased and read Eberron – Rising from the Last War so I made sure to include a Lightning Rail variant to accompany the standard steam engines.
Do you have a favorite train job moment in fiction?
Probably any of the train top fight sequences in James Bond movies, or the entirety of the film ‘Bullet Train’.
What inspired you to start creating content on Roll20?

I used to work as an Architect, and I’ve always loved the fantasy genre and tabletop games, so TTRPG mapmaking perfectly fit my skill set and passions. Roll20 seemed like the ideal place for my content to make sure as many people as possible could enjoy my maps.
What do you find thrilling about Eberron?
Eberron is a really fun twist on the usual ‘standard’ fantasy genre which, although great, is pretty well covered at this point. Being able to mix in other fun genres and elements like Noir and Horror makes it feel really unique and offers more fun creative options.
If people like this contribution from you, what’s something else they might like?
If you like this style of quick and easy modular tile sets to customize your own maps, I have a huge Modular Castle set that has parts for outer ramparts and interior rooms.
Airship Fleet: Deliveries and Exploration | Borough Bound

What was the inspiration for this map pack?
These airships are part of our LIMINA faction, a group of inter-dimensional couriers. We’ve been developing the lore of this organization for about 5 years now, and we find that they really tie together our internal Borough Bound lore with whatever campaign settings our fans are using. If you want to bring your party from one realm to another, teaming up with the dimension-traveling postal workers is certainly one way to do it.
What inspired you to start creating content on Roll20?
Our team started making maps, music, and setting guides in 2021. We knew immediately we wanted to share our work with as many people as possible. Some of our team members had worked with Roll20 before, so it was a no-brainer to make our maps available on the platform.

What do you find thrilling about Eberron?
Our writer / composer Will has been a huge fan of Eberron for years. The combination of 1. omnipresent low-level magic, 2. absolutely zany sub-settings (dinosaur plains! mafia dwarves! sunken leviathans! goblin dreamland!), and 3. re-contextualizing typical D&D tropes totally gels with our own design philosophy. At once, Eberron feels like it has very specific answers to “what the heck is going on here?” and yet it also has room for so many varieties of adventure. In one world, you have access to rollicking pirate action, necromantic elves, magic universities, spy intrigue, railroad heists, and all the rest. It’s specific, but also so variable.
If people like this contribution from you, what’s something else they might like?
This is just one of our packs of airships. We made a whole bundle of them for our LIMINA faction. Our Offense and Defense pack is probably the most popular amongst our fans, or folks can grab the whole bundle.
Central Railway Animated/Dynamic | Angela Maps

What was the inspiration for this map pack?
This map is inspired by the Rautatieasema (central railway station) in Helsinki where I live which is a cool art deco building with two big stone men holding lights on both sides of the main entrance and giant arched windows above it.
What inspired you to start creating content on Roll20?
I have been making maps since 2020 when I started playing D&D online with my friends. It is a good outlet for creativity. A little while later I started putting them on the Roll20 marketplace and my Patreon.
What do you find thrilling about Eberron?
I have never been lucky enough to play in an Eberron setting but I love the idea of mixing technology and magic, and it has inspired several maps I have made in the past.

If people like this contribution from you, what’s something else they might like?
If you use the train station, you might want the animated map of the train ride as well: Train Ride (animated)

Caravel Ship | Nerdy Maps
What was the inspiration for this map?
I’ve played a couple of One Shots that start in a boat sailing on distant seas, so I thought it would be a nice idea to create a map of a shop with different variations that could fit all kinds of stories and situations
What inspired you to start creating content on Roll20?
I was already creating content on Patreon but I felt it was limited with a monthly subscription system. I wanted to share my maps in a platform where people could actually get whatever map they wanted and only that one. I heard of Roll20 from a friend I play DnD with and decided to check it out and open my own account.

Has the Eberron setting informed anything you’ve created?
Yes! I knew very little until I joined a recent DnD campaign as a Warforged Artificer, which led me to read a lot of Eberron content and I was fascinated by the integration of engineering and the Steampunk theme into a more fantasy oriented setting.
If people like this contribution from you, what’s something else they might like?
I’ve got a bundle of even more ship maps to build out your fleet.
Pre-order Eberron: Forge of the Artificer before July 20, 2025 and get these awesome Roll20 maps. In two weeks, come back to discover the next bonus as we march towards the release on August 19th!
