Since announcing that Roll20 is coming to Discord as an Activity, our Pro Subscribers have been enjoying exclusive early access to the feature. Today, we’ve expanded that access – read on to learn more!
Since launch, we’ve had over 4,000 testers link their Discord and Roll20 accounts, accessing their games from right within Discord with just a few clicks! They’ve spent over 80,000 minutes playing in 800 unique campaigns, and have provided our developers with invaluable feedback that help make the feature the best it can be.
We’ve made two BIG changes recently, based on their requests.
Character Sheet Pop-Out
If you want to use your Discord display primarily for your map, you can now open Character Sheets in a browser window using the pop-out button. Any rolls made from your popped-out sheet, which will open in Roll20 Characters, will be reflected in-game in Discord. Especially handy while streaming!

More Screen Size
We’ve greatly reduced the amount of blank space on the sides of the Roll20 Tabletop display within Discord Activities.

In addition to the above, we’ve continued to chip away at other improvements. The new compendium UI now works, and all advanced sheet functions are fully operational. We’ve also implemented several small fixes and UX improvements.
Canada: Early Access

Starting today, we embark on the next phase of this project by enabling players in Canada to access Roll20 as an Activity on any server. To access your games in Discord, simply click either of the the rocket-shaped Activity buttons from within any voice channel, and follow on-screen instructions to connect your Roll20 account and invite folks from around the world to join your campaigns!
Don’t have any Canadian party members? Don’t worry – you can still access our beta server during this period – and we’ve opened it up to ALL USERS, no subscription required. Once this rollout is tested and stable, we’ll be able to extend the ability to play on your own servers worldwide!
You’ll be able to access any of your existing campaigns, or click the Explore tab to find free and purchasable modules from several of your favorite TTRPG Systems: Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, and more!
