Exciting news for our Roll20 community! While some of you might recall our previous collaborative efforts on Crowdin, an online translation management system, many are yet to experience it.
We’re absolutely thrilled to announce a significant revival. Not only is the community-based translation of RPG character sheets back on Crowdin’s new and improved platform, but we’re also introducing an exceptional feature: Crowdsource translations.
This innovative functionality within Crowdin is a game-changer for our translation management system. It empowers you, our valued users, to directly translate character sheets using your web browser. This greatly enhances accessibility and enriches the gaming experience for everyone.

How to get started?
Visit the Crowdin Platform
Head to Roll20’s Crowdin.
Account Creation/Login New to Crowdin
Create an account by following the on-screen instructions.
Already have a Crowdin account? Log in with your existing credentials.
Select a Crowdin Project
Choose from:
Official Roll20 Character Sheet Project. Original character sheets by Roll20.
Community Character Sheet Project. Sheets developed by other third parties such as publishers or community members.
Choose a Language
Select the language you’d like to contribute translations in by clicking the “Translations.json” file.
Select the Character Sheet
Pick a character sheet that interests you for translation.
Enter Your Translation
Find the “Enter translation” field in the middle of the page and type in your translation.
Use Translation Memory or Machine Translation
You can also select suggestions from the Translation Memory or any Machine Translation options provided.Click Save Once you’re satisfied with your translation, don’t forget to click ‘Save’.
Seeing Your Contributions Come to Life
We’re as eager as you are to see your translations in action. Though Crowdin doesn’t sync in real-time, we merge updates to our projects 2-3 times a week. So, your contributions will be live on the platform promptly!
