How Do I Play A D&D Remaster?
If you’ve already purchased the adventure on Roll20, you’ll automatically gain access to the Remaster edition for free. If you’re buying it for the first time, you’ll get the latest version.
For those who are mid-campaign when a remaster is released, don’t worry. The updates will not overwrite your current game. If you’d like to bring your group into the update, create a new game with the Remaster edition and use Roll20 Characters to copy your character sheets into the new game so you can keep telling your story.
Which D&D Titles Are Remastered on Roll20?
Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage Remaster
Our latest remaster continues the story from Waterdeep: Dragon Heist. It’s one of the few adventures that takes your party deep below the city and up to level 20.
The Undermountain, long known as the domain of the mad wizard Halaster Blackcloak, is a labyrinth. For ages, the Mad Mage has resided in these desolate depths, filling his lair with monsters, traps, and enigmas. But what does he want? And who is the mysterious (and dashing) Jaraxele?
Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus Remaster

If you’ve played Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll enjoy the multi-layered plot in Descent into Avernus. Your party is called to Baldur’s Gate and is quickly pulled into the Blood War – the never-ending battle between devils and demons.
Driving infernal machines similar to what you’d find in “Mad Max: Fury Road,” your party will have to make tough decisions about souls and salvation. Will your party save the doomed city of Elturel, now pulled into one of the Nine Hells – or will you try to persuade the fallen Zariel to your side?
See What’s Inside Baldur’s Gate: Decent into Avernus for more about this hellish adventure.
Curse of Strahd Revived
Curse of Strahd is a long-time D&D fan favorite, starting with the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons adventure module I6: Ravenloft. (No, you can’t romance Strahd. It’s a bad, bad idea.)
The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner, and you’re invited. You and your party are drawn through the mists to the land of Barovia, where night rules and terror reigns. Do you escape, or do you defeat the evil that rules this land? The Roll20 version includes the interactive Tarokka card deck.
Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden Remaster

Travel far to the Frozen North, beyond the Spine of the World, to Icewind Dale. Unveil the mystery of everlasting winter and darkness by visiting Ten-Towns and discover the curse, and redemption, of the Frost Maiden.
Inspired by the history of Icewind Dale and the film “The Thing,” expect cold terror as your party roleplays and explores the untamed lands.
Read What’s Inside Icedale Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden to discover more about this frigid trek.
